Description

• Launched HMI pages for 50 instruments and work cells across 3 labs, giving a comprehensive view of all PLC functions on site.

• Assembled and integrated automated water/waste infrastructure across site labs, eliminating manual carboy handling and reducing operational downtime on 28 liquid handlers.

• Built and qualified high-throughput automated workcells integrating instruments, PLC I/Os, and SCARA robots to process microplates for genetic testing.

• Led the mechanical and PLC redesign of the biohazardous waste disposal system on liquid handler, ensuring compliance with local environmental guidelines while reducing system complexity and repair frequency.

• Partnered with engineering and operations teams to diagnose and resolve urgent hardware, electrical, and PLC software issues in an active production environment.

• Designed and prototyped custom workcell tools and mounts using Onshape, 3D printing, laser cutting, and machine shop tools. Managed part releases and engineering documentation in Arena PDM.
